In this course we discuss a wide range of philosophical passages. No prior reading is required: in each session, the passages at issue will be distributed as handouts. Nor even is any prior acquaintance with philosophy necessary. A continental breakfast will, of course, be provided!
Questions at issue include the following. Is there something deep about ‘bad faith’? Does history have a direction? Do we need to rethink our ethics of life and death? Should we rank creation stories in proportion to how grim they are?
The fee for this 5 week course is £70 and includes the continental breakfast of croissants, conserves and fresh coffee.
